An annual auction of artistically altered cowboy hats
Our 2012 event was held on sunny Saturday afternoon, July 7, at DaDe Art and Design Lab in Inglewood. Hats were on display indoors and out in the shop’s elegant contemporary surroundings. Delicious refreshments were served. A trio of bluegrass musicians led by Steve Fisher created a welcoming ambiance. Steve also served as the M.C. Woody Forrieter was our auspicious auctioneer, selling five stunning hats at live auction. The remaining 16 lots made up the silent auction component. Mayor Nenshi topped off the afternoon with a heartfelt address.
